I’m not usually this obsessive over certain artists. I’m obsessive about music, for sure, but never individual, select artists.

And then there’s this band, who I’m pretty sure would be what happened when the universe decided that a new Stevie Wonder needed to pop up (with unbelievable keyboard skills), with a bassist who has surely, as one comment put it, sold his soul for soul, with a crazy drummer who just ties everything together oh goodness. It’s like you tried to put ’80s funk and jazz and melded it into this glorious new electronic old school mess.

The keyboard licks in this and the bass and the voice and the way they make such a mundane song so addictive is insane. I cannot say enough about this band except that you will see more of their covers very shortly on this tumblr and they will be on reply for another month on my iPod.

Oh, and speaking of which, all but their most recent covers can be downloaded here for free.
